This Privacy Policy explains how Dev Dreams (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Kumii mobile application (the “App”). By using Kumii, you agree to the practices described here.

Local-first by design

Kumii does not require an account. Your pet profile, progress, journal, and settings are saved on your device — not on a Kumii cloud server.

Your pet, progress, and journal are saved only on your device — no account needed.
We do not collect email, run analytics, or sell your information.
Optional care reminders are scheduled locally and can be turned off in Settings.
Premium purchases are processed by Apple or Google, not stored by Kumii.
Uninstalling the app removes your local save.

01. Summary

Kumii is a local-first virtual pet. We do not run a Kumii account system or cloud save service. Your pet lives entirely on your device.

02. Information stored on your device

The following stay on your device only: pet name and species, stats, level, XP, mood, care history, journal memories, equipped cosmetics, unlocked items, audio settings, and notification preferences. This data is saved with on-device storage and is removed if you delete the app or clear its data.

03. What we do not collect

Kumii does not require an email, username, or password. We do not operate analytics or advertising trackers in the app, and we do not sell personal information.

04. Notifications

Care reminders (hunger, thirst, miss-you, and well-rested wake-up) are scheduled locally on your device. You control them in Settings. Device notification permission is requested so alerts can appear when the app is closed or you are on another screen. You can disable Kumii alerts in Settings or in your device’s system notification settings.

05. In-app purchases

Premium cosmetics are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment and purchase history are handled by Apple or Google. Kumii does not receive or store your payment card details. Use Restore Purchases in the Shop to recover owned items on a new device with the same store account.

06. Children

Kumii is a family-friendly pet game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because game progress is stored only on your device and no account is required, we do not maintain personal profiles of users of any age.

07. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Kumii after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
